After supplying a sludge liming installation in 2006 to MST, for the Melipilla plant (Chile), Sodimate supplied a similar installation to ITT (Peru) in 2008 through its agent in Chile, BERMAT.
According to the user’s technical requirements, we designed and manufactured the sludge liming equipments, from the silo discharge and metering unit up to the sludge mixer and conveyors. The installation is aimed at treating a 6m3/h sludge flow-rate, with quick lime, in order to:
- Hygienize the sludge by eliminating the pathogens
- Eliminate any smelling by blocking the micro-organisms, therefore the putrecibility of the sludge.
- Facilitate the sludge handling, by reducing the volume and facilitating its storage.
This result is obtained thanks to the accuracy of our metering unit and the efficiency of the mixer which ensures a homogeneous blend.
